Wharf - A Favorite Bicycle Ride

Santa Cruz Wharf is one of my favorite rides - yes that's a another panda shot and I'm wearing one of my custom bicycle helmets...

Big smile on my face, I know.... it's 'cause I'm getting the panda shot thing down, that and wearing my new bright red custom helmet - and getting all the tourists curious about what I'm doing waving this camera up in the air for.

Is this bicycle abandoned? No she'll be right back, she just stopping off at Andy's (see above photo) to pick something up.

Being ever conscious of getting the WHOLE outfit in the shot - a requirement if you want to do a post of 'what you wore' to Chictopia, LookBook.nu and VV's Bike Wardrobe Remix (hmm which I haven't submitted anything yet but plan on it :) So anyway I did this 'after the ride' documentation photo.

One last wharf shot from the day... A sea gull wonders if I'll be sharing any of the seafood I'm purchasing from Stagnaro's Bros. outdoor Fish Market.

There was a break in the April rains, a nice bright sunny sky opening up.... and then along comes Debbie. She looks so adorably vintage perfect!

She says she often rides around on her lunch break just to get out for some fresh air. Did she work in one of the fine vintage clothing shops around town? Oh, not so...she'd just left her (County Building) offices.

I was so drawn to her beautiful brooks saddle. She said it had been a special present given her. We talked about Raleigh bicycles as I admired hers. I loved her shoes too, ReMix she said. Oh then her pin ...

Style Wagon...Bicycle Woodie

Spotted this Woodie Bicycle Wagon...

Very recently we had a Woodies on The Wharf. Here's my favorite Woodie, it's a beautiful, delicious Coral color...

This got me thinking about the possibilities of customizing the Woodie bicycle wagon with the same flourish and style as the vintage car Woodie. Now wouldn't that make a styling bicycle ride!
Tikis, flower leis, totems and away we go in a surfer paradise with a bicycle wagon Woodie.

Her cruiser had the prettiest patina... just goes to show how nice it can be to leave your older bicycle as is. Don't worry about stripping it down and repainting.

And this lady has her beach suit on too, underneath... She just came from the beach. Tossed on her little beach dress and a cool, comfy shirt and off she went.

Two girlfriends at the pier, which is right next to excellent beach access. They too came right from the beach after a day of swim and sun. At first they protested when I asked to take their photo. They assured me they usually look so much better....being at the beach all day creates nasty havoc on your hair, and you don't exactly take time to put on lip gloss or anything like that.
