Farewell Farah, Iconic posterchild for big hair in the 80s.
I found, yesterday, some great black and white photos of Rita Hayworth, apparently take around WWII, as bike propaganda,to help the war effort. She looks as great as ever, in her little white skirt, blouse with padded shoulders, and her friends (I don't recognize any of them). Look for the cheesecake photo, with her feet up, on the bike and those million dollar legs prominent in the shot. Apparently a LIFE magazine feature, 1280x800 pixels, most shots. White Ankle sox and keds tennis shoes, too.

I remember that!
Very beautiful and very sad.
The bike looks like a Motobecane Super Mirage. Interesting that she posed with the men's frame rather than the mixte version.

I think she is shorter than I assumed. That bike looks like it may be around a 51 or 52 cm and she only clears it cuz she's wearing heels.
