My Trapper Hat for Winter

My Trapper Hat

I ended up wearing the trapper hat (or as my boyfriend calls it the Paul Bunyan/Elmer Fudd hat) a lot lately. When the boyfriend starting seeing this style (minus a bicycle helmet underneath) being worn by lots of hipster types on the streets he hushed up. It's not easy sporting new styles!

This look is posted on lookbook.nu More details and fashiony tidbits about this look there.

Very limited time offer!!! I have a very few invites available to the first handful of people...

No need for blinkers or neon. You'll get people attention with this outfit... in a good way.

I laughed so hard at your comment!
yeah, no need for neon & blinkers... hoo hoo!
anyway thanks :D
later I'll show more understated looks for a lot less notice & stares on the ride.

I'm glad you thought it was funny... but I'm serious. ;)

A while back, the Copenhagen/Amsterdam bloggers had something about when a cyclist clearly looks like a women, drivers give them more room when passing. But when passing Robobikers, they didn't give them much room at all. So, looking good could make you safer than looking like a crossing guard. Duel purpose style.

T&T mix Ha Ha that's funny too :D

(for anyone else who didn't get it. 'Tourist' is the make of the 1960's Raleigh Bicycle I'm riding)

Spiderlegren..
I think you make an excellent point.
I remember Miss Sarah mentioning it as well several months ago.

Just remembered this post called 'Wear a Dress and Be Safe" that I did back in May. It builds a convincing case for wearing a dress (or at least some very 'non-drone' like bike riding attire) to better your safety odds while out amongst (brain dead or just drousy..) mototists on the road. Why will motorists take notice of you more?...Here's the link.
