This vintage photo of a beautiful girl and her bicycle has to be one of my very favorites. So chic."the love of cycling seems hereditary. this photo is from the mid 1950s"
The photo is of Rita's Mom. That's her quote above too- Rita love bicycles as well. She is reader of this blog and thought I might like to share her photo with all of you. So happy to have received this photo in my email inbox. Thanks Rita! (photo via Rita)
Betsey Johnson looks like she is having a blast on her hot pink bicycle! The photo was taken during her bicycle ride around NYC - she's out celebrating her (68th!) birthday. She must really like that bicycle, she rode it down the runway too during her Spring 2011 Fashion Show last week. She's touched on a cycling theme - you see cycling caps on all the models for the show finale. I'm amazed at her sheer energy. "Ride Me" - look for this in the runway video - real flashy bling better worn by my bicycle than by me....(photo credit via, video credit via)
Bicycles and the interiors they inhabit make for a great way to sneak peek into peoples homes- for me it's just to see how the bicycle is accommodated into the space it occupies. It's what is so fascinating to me. A fun post was recently in Design Sponge - they pulled from their archives all the interiors with bicycles in the shot. The Selby photo - Erin Wasson's place with her vintage DL-1 Raleigh bicycle is a particular favorite of mine. Then there is share from me which is the very jam packed corner view of the room with the four bicycles in it.

As evidenced in these paparazzi celeb photos -Sting & Trudi, George Clooney & GF, and Beckham have a lot of individual finesse when it comes to choosing the bike, and what to wear style wise.(photo credit: top photo via - second photo via - last photo via) p.s. Trudi & Sting have an organic farm in Italy, nice lifestyle-La Dolce Vita!

Oh, My!
All photos by Cameron Adams/Atlanta Street FashionFrom the looks of these photos the Seersucker Social in Atlanta was quite a spectacular event.
What stylish riders! The gents this time really took the cake in overall style points ( via my humble opinion) - not that the ladies weren't absolutely charming. It's just that Atlanta's
fine gents reminded me of some recently inspiring photos. Ones that I came across in the NYTimes Fashion- Style section. See what I'm talking about here...for a case in point.
