Please meet my bohemian bicycle muse, Tziporah Salamon. She has been captured riding her bicycle around NYC since 2001 via the legendary Bill Cunningham - NY Times- On the Street. She has graced those pages no less than eight times! She started off riding a vintage Schwinn bicycle and then moved on to a Bianchi Milano Cafe Sport. Truth be told it was her pictures that have inspired me more than anything to want to keep designing... (my bicycle helmet covers and capes). She has been such a dream muse for me!

To my eye Tziporah Salamon has the most amazing fashion sense. She is after my own heart, her outfits are gloriously vintage and so covetable... things she has obviously been collecting for a long while.

Ahhh..., the color mix, the ethnic / boho pieces and the hi-low approach to spending. Translation equals spending lo on vintage you are lucky enough to score ( think thrift store, street fair vendors, yard sales) and spending hi on signature, good buy investment pieces.

I have to thank Casacara for helping me to discover this amazing woman Tzipi, beyond the NY Times photos. Tzipi is an Artist, fashion stylist, costume designer, and a personal shopping consultant living in NYC. She also loves riding a bicycle!!!

Bicycle Short Shorts - (Big!) Bicycle Wicker Basket

More bicycle short shorts, seems to be a theme going with me this week. What I love about this photo as well is the BIG wicker basket on her bicycle. The cuffed socks worn with her sandal heels are too cute.

More short shorts, only this time with creamy white boots, and killer lacey stockings. I love her mix of plaid shirt and lace. The hat is adorable and she also had the best vintage alligator purse!... which you can sort of glimpse sitting on the bar. This photo I took awhile back at Lulu's coffee house. The bike she rides is a bright red Redline fixie. I didn't get a chance to catch a photo of her on her bike, booo!

Not exactly Fall Inspiration I know...but I am always fall for pink cruisers and matching shoes. And who can resist a 80's vibe, white wedding lacey look. It's actually warm enough here to wear this look today, if you want to channel your inner vampy pinup. It is almost Halloween too, so I've definitely been starting to get inspired!
